Wildfire in Los Angeles, California, Takes Lives and Damages Property, 2025
Malibu’s mayor reports that the city has lost almost 1/3 of its eastern boundary.
As indicated by Mayor Doug Stewart, almost 30% of Malibu’s eastern border has been consumed by the Palisades Fire.
He’s posed during the town meeting this evening. It appears a big portion of Stewart’s audience acknowledges the reality. They know that the wonderful houses that used to exist on this block are gone. They’ve absolutely been wiped out.
According to Stewart, a number of houses along the Pacific Coast Highway and in the Big Rock area are destroyed. Even more houses from Big Rock to Carbon Mesa Road are “heavily affected or completely destroyed.”
The Palisades Fire that started raging on Tuesday is currently 11 percent contained. Reports show it has wiped out 23654 acres of the pacific Palisades.
Going by a Sophia’s report, more than 5,000 buildings in the Palisade and Malibu have been destroyed. It is believed that this fire caused the maximum damage in Los Angeles. This morning’s report from the Los Angeles Fire Department

SAG-AFTRA donates $1 million to union members harmed by the fires.
Hollywood’s largest union, SAG-AFTRA, has donated $1 million to its fire relief fund. This donation supports unit members who are “experiencing hardship” due to the L.A. fires. The union represents roughly 160,000 media workers and performers.
“The destruction caused by these fires has been heartbreaking to witness. The loss of homes and lives is tragic. Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected,” the president of SAG-AFTRA, Fran Drescher, said in a statement.
“But we knew we could do more. We hope this pledge helps alleviate suffering. It aids those affected in rebuilding their lives together after this calamity,” Drescher said.
She said that the fires have had a personal impact on her, but she gave no specifics.
Smoke alert for Los Angeles County is extended.
With multiple fires igniting smoke and other particles in the air, L.A. County Public Health officials today expanded an alert to residents about smoke until at least tomorrow night.Every day since the flames erupted on Tuesday, advisories for smoky air have been posted.
They describe the undesirable and irritating impact of the fumes from flaming air.“Small particles are the primary health concern, and can cause the burning eyes, runny nose, scratchythroat, headaches and “sick (i.e., bronchitis).” “If inhaled,
it can cause severe symptoms like coughing. It can also cause wheezing, chest pain, and shortness of breath,” the department said. They added it was especially dangerous for children and the elderly.
It is also dangerous for people with heart or respiratory illnesses, and those with weakened immune systems. The agency urged anyone with serious symptoms to call 911. When smoke is visible, people should minimize their time outside.
If the air smells strong, they should remain indoors. Citing the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the health agency stated that smoke from the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst Wildfires has been causing the county’s air to become toxic
Visiting California is a top priority for Trump, advisor says
The president-elect has every intention of traveling to Southern California. However, a specific date has not yet been decided. On Fox News, Miller answered questions about the decision. They asked whether the next commander in chief would be sent to the wildfire site.
“We know it’s a top priority,” Miller stated. “However, I don’t want to get ahead of the president and his scheduling team at this moment.” Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger and California Governor Gavin Newsom asked Trump to tour the region earlier today.
